Ingredients
- 6 pieces center-cut boneless pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
- 1 large egg
- panko breadcrumbs
- crushed cornflake crumbs
- grated Parmesan cheese
- 0.5 tsp kosher salt (for seasoning pork chops)
- 0.75 tsp kosher salt (for breading mix)
- sweet paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- chili powder
- black pepper
- cooking oil spray (or oil for spritzing)
Instructions
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
- Season pork chops on both sides with 1/2 tsp kosher salt.
- In a large shallow bowl, combine panko, crushed cornflake crumbs, grated Parmesan, 3/4 tsp kosher salt, sweet paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder and black pepper.
- Place the beaten egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip each pork chop into the beaten egg, letting excess drip off, then press into the breadcrumb mixture to coat top, bottom and sides. Shake off excess and set aside.
- Transfer coated pork chops to the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding).
- Spritz the tops of the pork chops with oil.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12 minutes total, flipping halfway through and spritzing both sides with oil, until an instant-read thermometer reads 145°F (63°C) in the thickest part.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve.
